Jenna joined me to talk about being a writer, being an indy author, her first book (in 1st grade) about Timmy the cat and his uncle entitled “The Funeral,” being told writing wasn’t a real career option, becoming a stock broker and accountant, to beginning drafting her first novel after work and the beginning of her YouTube channel.

We dive into the real problem with being properly diagnosed with mental health disorders and/or neuro-divergency, surviving childhood bullying due to autism, and the impact Jenna’s trauma has had on her career. Jenna talks about the impact on her after a tragic accident, finding herself a full-time care giver to her now fiancé, Cliff. Jenna also talks about masking throughout life, finding the courage to be her fully authentic self, teaching herself to be confident, and how her work is fueled by her gratitude for her autism and her bold and passionate (and weird) creativity.
